On February 13, 2025, an inmate incarcerated at the United States Penitentiary Coleman (USP Coleman), in Sumter, Florida, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Jessie Wooden was previously indicted in the Middle District of Florida. According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, on or about March 10, 2024, BOP correctional officers searched Wooden and found a black bag containing 73 grams of methamphetamine and other contraband. Wooden pleaded guilty to knowing possession of 50 grams or more of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. The investigation is being conducted jointly by the DEA’s Gainesville, Florida Office, and the OIG’s Miami Office.
