Former DEA Task Force Officer Arrested and Sentenced for Attempted Unauthorized Use of the Ohio Law Enforcement Gateway

On January 28, 2025, a former DEA Task Force Officer was arrested and pleaded guilty to one count of attempted unauthorized use of the Ohio Law Enforcement Gateway. Donald Belosic pleaded guilty in the Mahoning County Court of Common Pleas and was sentenced to three years of probation, 80 hours of community service, and payment of a $250 fine, in addition to turning in his law enforcement credentials. According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, Belosic knowingly disseminated information gained from access to the Ohio Law Enforcement Gateway. The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Detroit Office, the FBI, and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation; digital forensic assistance was provided by the OIG’s Cyber Investigation Office.
