On April 25, 2025, a former DOJ Civil Division Legal Assistant pleaded guilty to one count of Misprision of Felony. Marcia Taylor-Robinson pleaded guilty in the Southern District of Florida. According to her factual statement in support of the plea, from in or around January 2021 through in or around March 2022, Taylor-Robinson helped her husband, Dale Robinson, conceal bribery payments he received from a government contractor, JB Railroad. At her husband’s direction, Taylor-Robinson created a company, Tailored Railroads; opened a company checking account on which she was sole signatory; and issued four invoices from Tailored Railroads to JB Railroad totaling $75,956, the amount of the bribes. Although Taylor-Robinson did not know the details of the illegal arrangement, she knew that the company had not provided services to JB Railroad, and that the payments were for her husband’s personal benefit. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Huntsville Locale and the FBI.
