On January 11, 2024, a former BOP Medical Contractor assigned to the Limestone County Detention Center (LCDC) in Groesbeck, Texas, was sentenced to 36 months of probation and ordered to serve 80 hours of community service for one count of introduction of contraband. Laine Noah was sentenced in the Western District of Texas. According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, in or around June 2021, Noah smuggled and provided a cellphone to an inmate of LCDC. This investigation was conducted by the OIG’s South Central Region Office and the ATF.
