On October 10, 2024, a former BOP Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Federal Detention Center Philadelphia (FDC Philadelphia) in Pennsylvania, was sentenced to three years of probation with six months of home confinement and a $5,000 fine, for one count of providing contraband to an inmate of a prison. Lee Moore was sentenced in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. According to the plea agreement, Moore pleaded guilty to the Information, which stated that, from in or about May 2020 through in or about June 2020, Moore introduced contraband, specifically mobile phones, to an inmate of FDC Philadelphia. The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Trenton Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
