Former BOP Correctional Officer Pleaded Guilty to Sexual Acts with an Inmate

On April 18, 2025, a former BOP Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Federal Correctional Institution – Tallahassee, in Florida, pleaded guilty to one count of sexual acts with an inmate (Title 18 U.S.C. § 2243(b)). Kerontrez Kenon pleaded guilty in the Northern District of Florida. According to the plea agreement, between on or about June 1, 2023, and on or about August 1, 2023, Kenon knowingly engaged in a sexual act with an inmate in official detention and under his custodial, supervisory, and disciplinary authority. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Miami Office and the FBI.
