Former BOP Correctional Officer Arrested and Pleaded Guilty to Attempt to Provide Contraband to an Inmate and Bribery of a Public Official

On October 23, 2024, a former BOP Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Federal Correctional Institution Allenwood (FCI Allenwood) in Pennsylvania, was arrested and pleaded guilty to one count of attempt to provide contraband to an inmate and one count of bribery of a public official. Lino Perez pleaded guilty in the Middle District of Pennsylvania. According to the plea agreement, Perez pleaded guilty to the Information, which stated that on or about February 17, 2023, Perez sought and received monetary payments from inmates in exchange for introducing suboxone into FCI Allenwood and providing the contraband to inmates. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Trenton Office.
