Former BOP Correctional Officer Arrested and Charged with Possession of Child Pornography

On December 11, 2024, a former BOP Correctional Officer at the Federal Correctional Institution in Pekin, Illinois, was arrested following a December 10, 2024 Information charging him with two counts of Possessing Child Pornography. Daniel Scott was charged in the state of Illinois. According to the Information, from in or about September 2023 through in or about April 2024, Scott possessed photographs of prepubescent children that depicted the lewd exhibition of unclothed sex organs. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Chicago Office and Homeland Security Investigations.
