On August 20, 2024, an inmate incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Complex Coleman (FCC Coleman), located in Sumterville, Florida, was charged by indictment with one count of assault and one count of possession of contraband. Muller Vedrine was indicted in the Middle District of Florida. According to the Indictment, on or about March 10, 2024, Vedrine knowingly and forcibly assaulted, resisted, opposed, impeded, and interfered with a BOP employee, while the BOP employee was engaged in and on account of the performance of his official duties. Additionally, according to the indictment, on or about March 10, 2024, Vedrine knowingly possessed prohibited objects, namely, buprenorphine and a cellphone at FCC Coleman. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Miami Office.
